Supposed
Action:
Alkaloids
present in the leaves of Peumus boldus plant and anthra-derivatives
(mainly aloin and aloinozides) present in the dry extract from the Aloe-family
(Aloe) plant are thought to have a synergistic effect on liver.
Bile secretion is stimulated and its flow through bile duct is facilitated
thanks to the improved contraction and relaxation of the gall bladder.
The active ingredients are easily absorbable by the digestive tract.
Their bitterness stimulates excretion of digestive juices and intensifies
the digestion process. Also noticeable are a weak antibacterial effect
and a well pronounced laxative effect (brought about by anthra-derivatives
from Aloe extract) due to the stimulation of peristalsis. The latter occurs
8-10 hours from the use of the supplement.
