Bhaktapur is about 10 km and a couple checkpoints east of Kathmandu. We stopped off there on our way to
Nagarkot and stayed in a hotel overlooking the town's Durbar square.

There were a half dozen pigs rooting around down at the river. The structure at the right edge of the
picture is a platform for cremations.
