Sagarmatha
Getting shut out by weather in Nagarkot was slightly disappointing so we went on one of the Mountain
Flights, where you fly in a small plane along the mountains until you reach Mount Everest then turn around
and fly back to Kathmandu.
Mount Everest through the cockpit window. The plane had about a dozen rows with one seat on each
side of the aisle. Each passenger was allowed to go up to the cockpit and shoot pictures through the
pilot's window.
Swayambhunath
On top of a hill west of Kathmandu is the Bhuddist temple of Swayambhunath, approached from the
east by a long staircase.
Known as The Monkee Temple the temple grounds are home to many
monkees who will take food right out your hand and probably right out of your mouth. They're not real friendly.
After a steep climb punctuated by frequent rest stops you reach the stupa,
