The wind rarely
stops in Mojave, and they take advantage of that with these huge
windmills. To get an idea of size, notice the trees to the left of the first windmill. The horizontal "boxes" are the size of a railroad boxcar. |

We drove past fields of wildflowers. There had been quite a bit of rain this past spring, and the meadows were spectacular.

There are lots of the California Poppy. But there are many other wildflowers, also.
