Calendar for the week at the Pease Church
This Evening the Rum River Life Choices Center will host their annual Praise and Prayer Service in our church at 6:00 p.m. The evening will include singing, payer, client testimony, a candlelight service to remember the unborn whose lives have been snuffed out through abortion. An offering for the Center will be received. Next Sunday Morning we will focus on God’s truth found in Psalm 111, seeking wisdom, something which God makes possible through His Word. Without wisdom we can never live our lives to their fullest potential. Irv Bauman became a patient at Fairview Southdale on Thursday due to some difficulties with his heart. Vi Rensenbrink was disappointed to learn there are three lymph nodes which are of concern, so she will begin another series of chemotherapy hopefully this week. Flo Van De Riet had the kidney which had made her so ill earlier removed on Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital where she remains a patient. “We want to express our thankfulness to our family at Pease Christian Reformed Church for the ways you have expressed your love, encouragement and sympathy over the past few months – in the “home going” of both of our Mothers and also after Gaylen’s accident. A special thank-you to Pastor Dave and Marian for their calls and visits.” The Milaca Area Food Pantry thanks you for your awesome donations during the month of March; 238 pounds of food was donated and $1,508.76. Part of this money is being matched by Minnesota Food Share. They thank us for our on-going support and want us to know we are very much appreciated in helping with their mission of fighting hunger in our community. Today is the last Sunday for Sunday School until next fall. A complete inventory will be done of the video library over the next 2 weeks. Please check your homes and return all videos and DVDs no later than next Sunday, the 29th of April. You will be able to check videos out again starting May 6th. Thank you. There will be a very short meeting for all video library helpers immediately after the service next Sunday, the 29th. Applications for the Gerrit Kiel Memorial Endowment Scholarship and the CRC of The FBI National Child Identification Fingerprint Kits have arrived. If you ordered on please pick it up in the church office. Cost is $4.00 per kit. Rake-n-Take Night: Let’s rake leaves for anyone and everyone who’ll let us! We’ll rake the leave and Jim’s Disposal will take the leave for free! ATTENTION ALL MEN: This Saturday morning at 7:30AM, April 28 TIME OUT. A time to stop, enjoy a great breakfast, good food, and food for thought. John Geurkink will share the powerful grip of addiction and the amazing grace and goodness of God’s love in his life. PRAYING FOR EACH OTHER: We want to support our local ministries by praying for one church and its pastor each week. This week the area congregations are encouraged to pray for the ministry of those who work at the St. Paul’s Congregation and Pastor David Hahn.
