Deacon's Mission Statement
The mission of the deacons of The Christian Reformed Church of Pease is to inspire faithful stewardship in the members of the congregation. The deacons will be merciful and compassionate as they worship God with offerings of time, wealth and ability and minister to rich and poor alike, both within and outside the church. The work of the deacons includes collection and distribution of offerings. They must weigh the needs of causes and use the church's resources discerningly.
We challenge, encourage and pray for each other as we reach out in Christ's love through the Spirit's power to the honor and glory of God.

Elders' Mission Statement
The mission of the Elders of the Christian Reformed Church of Pease is to inspire and encourage the members in their walk with God. We will be merciful and compassionate as we worship God with offerings of time and ability, we minister to people both from within and outside of the church. The work of the elders includes shepherding the church of Christ. We do this by faithfully visiting and encouraging the members.
We challenge, encourage and pray for each other as we reach out in Christ's love through the Spirit's power to the honor and glory of God.

Sunday School

We have a church school program beginning with three-year olds through high school. Materials are interesting for children and challenging for teenagers with topics they can relate to. We meet for 26 weeks starting in September and ending around Easter time. You are invited to join us from 9:00-9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning followed by our worship service. If there are any questions, please contact the Church Office at 320-369-4228..   Back to Top

Children's Worship Center
Children, ages three through seven, begin the worship service in the sanctuary with their parents. At some point during the order of worship, they are invited to come forward for a children's message. At the conclusion, they are dismissed to the Worship Center. Greeters and worship leaders meet the children in the narthex and they separate into two settings based on their age. Three and four year old children meet together in the Little Lambs and ages five through seven meet in the Worship Center in another room. The Worship Centers provide an appropriate setting for children to praise and worship God through participation. Just as in adult worship a liturgy is followed: We approach God (the greeting and songs of praise), We proclaim God's Word (telling the story with figures and manipulatives), respond to God's Word, we give thanks (reading from the Bible and prayers of thanksgiving), and we go in God's name (closing song and benediction). The children are dismissed individually to their parents at the end of the service. Contact Lorraine Veurink at 320-982-1509 with questions or to set up a time for orientation to the worship center if your children plan to attend regularly.

The Ladies Aid meets every other Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room from September through May. There is a one-hour Bible Study, which is presently led by John Ruis.A business meeting is followed by a time of fellowship over a cup of coffee. Instead of having the usual bake sale in the fall as a fund-raiser, each member is assessed $15. This is not to be confused with the $15 per member dues, which are to be paid in January. Beth Moore Bible Study
This Bible Study for women meets every Monday night from Sept. to March. It is an in-depth Bible study that encourages women to spend time in God's Word each day. Then, during the Monday night meeting, the women break into small groups where they are able to discuss the book and their "homework" from the past week. They are also able to share personal prayer requests in a safe environment within their small group. Following this time of discussion and prayer, the women join together again to watch the Bible Study's video in preparation for the following week's study. We help the school aged children with their homework if needed, have a short Bible study and a fun time for all the children. For the adults, we have support groups, speakers and materials to help them. This group is a project of volunteers from Pease and Bethel (Princeton, MN.) Christian Reformed Churches. Bread for Life
The Pease church, in conjunction with area farmers and businesses and other CRC churches use donated land to raise crops which are sold and the profits used to support the Food Resource Bank. The Food Resource Bank is an international humanitarian effort to provide ways for people to become more self reliant in providing their basic necessities of life. It might be through showing them how to plant, fertilize, and water a garden or helping them drill a well for a clean water supply. All donations, discounts, and volunteer work go to make this program more profitable. Contact people are Alan Byker at 320-369-4348, Don Kiel at 320-369-4244, or Kevin Santema at 320-369-4590.    Back to Top
