The Long Road Trip March 2002 The Alkire family including Jim
and Sue, son Danny and his girlfriend, daughter Christy and her baby
Connor, and the family dog Eve all took off for Colorado the week
before Easter. With the van packed to the hilt, it looked like
the new Griswald's "Cross Country Family Vacation" movie.
After an unexpected overnight stay in Goodland, Kansas, due to snow, they arrived a day late and promptly went skiing with Mike at Vail and then Arapahoe Basin. Mike and Dan took on Keystone while the girls stuck to the beginner slope at A-basin. Everyone tried ice skating at Breckenridge and enjoyed the wonders of Colorado before driving back home - straight through the night all the way! |
