THE RECREATION CENTER

This was another of the favorite hang-outs, the Recreation Center. It was well equipped with pool tables, pinball machines, a limited library of recent magazines, soda pop and candy vending machines. I spent many, many hours here learning to shoot "Straight Pool" but never did get good at it. In the photo, Alan (Minnesota Fats) Graham takes aim as he prepares to beat yet another challenger. The Rec. Center was located in the NW corner of the camp.
