Nampa High School Class of 195750-year Reunion, September 7-9, 2007 |
|
October 13, 2007 — The 50-year reunion is now history. About 125 classmates gathered at the Nampa Elks Lodge, the Nampa Civic Center, Brick 29, and Liberty Park to renew old friendships and make new ones. If you are looking for the original reunion web page, that page and this website will remain on-line for a while, but there is no guarantee just how long. The 50-year reunion book was bigger (272 pages), better, and more informative than the booklets of past reunions. For each classmate who submitted a biographical sketch it has a full page containing contact information, snapshots, and that classmate's report of memories, activities, and plans. In addition, the book includes memorabilia and group photos from the 1940s and 1950s that have been found in scrapbooks and shoeboxes. Some of your classmates contributed original grade school group photographs for Kenwood, Lakeview, Roosevelt, East Side, Sunny Ridge, Midway and Scism. People had a ball trying to identify all the faces. The reunion book was so popular that the reunion committee arranged for a second printing to cover requests that came in by mail and after the reunion. Everyone who ordered a book should have received it by now. If you missed out, there are copies available for examination at the Nampa Public Library, the Canyon County Historical Museum in Nampa, and the Idaho State Historical Society Library in Boise. The committee is continuing to search for 30 LOST classmates. If you have any leads, please let us know. | ||
