Counselor Training
Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime (TASC)
-
The TASC Case Managers screen non-violent felony offenders for substance
abuse problems. They are released from jail under court supervision and
case managed for one year as they receive substace abuse rehabilitation
treatment. If they do not follow the recommendations of the case managers
they are court ordered back into jail.
Orange County STOP DWI Program

The STOP DWI Program funds approximately 50 % of the BABES Program and
supplies local Police Departments with the equipment necessary to make
DWI arrests.
Victim Impact Panel
-
The Victim Impact Panel consists of a panel of individuals whose lives
have been negatively impacted by a DWI offender either through the loss
of a loved one or as a former offender. They volunteer their time to speak
to court ordered DWI offenders twice monthly.

Information and Referral

We have an up to date video and literature library on substance abuse topics
which is available to the puclic. Pamphlets are free for the taking and
the books and other bound material can be reviewed in the office and/or
borrowed overnight. The videos are available for overnight rental for a
small fee which is reduced for Council members.

Our Prevention Specialists Specialists screen callers providing information
and referrals for substance abuse treatment upon request.

Our Prevention Specialists also provide up to date inservice training to
employers on identification and referral of substance abusers.
