There is a national trend in funeral service today for large, out-of-state corporate funeral home conglomerates and/or consolidators to purchase local funeral homes and cemeteries. The formation of the Princeton Independent Funeral Home Association assures you that each of Princeton’s family-owned funeral homes is committed to remaining independently owned and locally operated.

Having served Mercer County for over 200 years collectively, Princeton’s family-owned funeral homes strive daily to serve our community, churches, schools and civic organizations in a benevolent manner unprecedented in the corporate world of today. We understand and recognize the many changes occurring in our society, yet we remain devoted to giving back to our communities. Whereas in the corporate world of today, your resources and monies leave the local towns and are transferred to the corporate offices in Texas, Florida, Kentucky and other states, thus removing the benevolence from the communities and placing it in the hands of the stockholders of the large corporations.

Our pledge is to the families we each are privileged to serve – not to the stockholders of large corporations. We all will continue providing the highest quality of funeral service at the most affordable cost.
