NYSED Office of Technology Policy |
You are a school district Director of Technology, and you are asked by the Superintendent to give a presentation to the Board of Education on how educational technology in your district compares with that in other districts in New York state. You seem to remember someone (you can't remember who) once mentioned that a report called the New York State School Technology Capacity and Needs Assessment is available through the New York State Education Department Office of Technology Policy web site. You believe this report will help in preparing your presentation. At the same time, you are curious to see if your certification information is correct on NYSED's web site, as you know that the public can look up any New York State teacher's and administrator's certification information.
Task 1 is to find the New York State School Technology Capacity and Needs Assessment
Task 2 is to look up YOUR certification information on NYSED's web site (if you are not certified, look up a teacher/administrator you know who is)
You are free to look around the NYSED web site and try other things, just be sure to note both good and not-so-good things you find.
