AMHS - Laminated Countertops

Custom laminated countertops are countertops that are fabricated from scratch to your specifications. Custom laminated countertops offer a greater degree of design and shape flexibility because of their custom nature.

Custom laminated countertops are available in square edge, wood edge and bevel edge styles. There are a wide variety of laminate colors to choose from. AMHS stocks a representative color offering of laminate sheets for quick fabrication and delivery.

AMHS custom laminated countertops are manufactured to the highest quality standard. We utilize 45 lb. medium density flakeboard construction. Backsplash bottoms are finished with laminate and caulk for a watertight seal.

Remember, custom laminate countertops are built to your specifications; therefore, there is a greater reliance on your drawings for design detail. The designer must provide all dimensions, radius sizes, laminate seam locations, etc. Custom tops are an appropriate choice for the built in look that today’s consumer desires.

Laminated Countertops Order Checklist

The following information should be provided with a Custom Laminate order.

• Color, manufacturer and number
• Edge style
• All dimensions in inches
• Depths must be specified
• Backsplash height and length
• Clipped corner and radius sizes shown
• Low backsplashes must be marked “attached” or “loose”
• Finished side edges marked for either self edge or bevel/wood moulding
• Appliance cutouts
  • Setback, centerline, and cutout dimensions OR
  • Setback, centerline, manufacturer and model number
• Mica seam locations for tops larger that 5’ x 12’ (4’x10’ for special finishes)
• Field seam locations (make sure pieces will fit into building); Maximum shipping size is 82”x 216”

Bevel Edge Countertops

AMHS manufactures premium quality bevel edge countertops. The bevel edge design makes the infamous laminate “black line” disappear. Radius corners are not available.

Wood Edge Countertops

AMHS manufactures wood edge countertops from raw wood planks. The beauty of wood does not come without some natural imperfections inherent in nature. AMHS can supply wood edge unfinished for staining on site, with a natural clear finish or finished with stain supplied by the customer. Wood radius can be fabricated from plank, but please note that the end grain will be exposed with the curve of the radius, and will be darker in appearance.
