AMHS - Post Form Countertops
Post Form countertops are an economical countertop alternative. Post Form countertops utilize economies of scale to produce a functional standard product at competitive prices. They are a good countertop solution as long as the standard features of the product are kept in mind. Custom self-edge countertops are the proper choice when a degree of specialization is needed or there are non-standard requirements.
Post Form Countertops Standard Sizes
Post Form countertops are available in standard depths and lengths.
- Standard kitchen, vanity, and peninsula/island depths are available.
- Post Form blanks are a maximum 144” long. Pie cut extensions can be used only at miters to increase the back-wall dimension. Butt joints, joining two blanks in a straight line to achieve additional length, are not recommended for residential use.

Post Form Countertops Order Checklist
The following information should be provided with a Post Form Order.
- Color
- Edge Style
- Overall measurements in inches. (Field measuring will be provided by AMHS sales representatives upon request.)
- Indicate depth (confirm standard depth).
- List sink cutout size, (not size of sink), centerline, and manufacturer.
- Mark ends to be capped with a C.
- Indicate miters as assembled or unassembled.
- Indicate ends requiring end-splashes.
- Remember size limits:
- Longest straight top 144”
- Longest 27” Double-nose 144”
- Longest 36” Double-nose 144”
- Longest L-Shaped top 162” (includes pie-cut extension)
- Longest U-Shaped top 180” (includes pie-cut extension)
Post Form Countertops Ordering Information
- Minimum Footage: 8’ Minimum.
- ½” and over go to next chargeable foot
- (Example: 72 ¼ “ –6’, 72 ¾” = 7’)
- ½” and over go to next chargeable foot
- 36” Bar Tops at 8’ stock maximum length
- Maximum shipping size: 82” high x 144” long (Except for pie cut extensions)
- Available in Formica, Wilsonart and Pionite only.
- Allow 3-4 weeks.
