As of 1 Dec, 2004, here are some of the 35mm Alaska slides which I have scanned to digital. These are various winter scenes from the area:
When it was very cold, the wind would usually be dead-calm. All of the moisture would freeze from the air and settle on the area as a hore frost. It was delicate and beautiful. When the sun would shine through a tree or bush covered with hore frost, that bush would appear to be electrified or glowing. Here are some trees/bushes decorated with frost. As soon as a light breeze came along, the frost would be knocked off:
