Janome sewing machines are rented for $10/class for class use or students may bring their own machines.
Registration in a class is not confirmed until all fees are paid. Registration fees will only be refunded if requested at least 3 days before the class is scheduled.

This is a technique class to experiment with double fold and flange binding and back fabric used as binding. you will learn to figure the amount of fabric needed to make width of fabric (WOF) binding. Mitered corners will be discussed and demonstrated plus the joining of binding ends. 2 or 3 methods will be taught. A supply fee of $15 will be required to provide you with quilted samples to work with. You will also learn how to face a quilt edge with a facing and a flange. There is no hand sewing in this method. |
Binding There are 2 classes scheduled. Each class meets for 2 sessions one week apart. This class lasts a total of 4 hours. It is currently not scheduled.
Class cost is $30.The required kit is $15. You will receive a list of additional supplies needed when you sign up for the class. |
Mondo Bag | Ladonna Marshall |
Mondo is an adjective meaning large or big.This bag is uniquely assembled on printed fusible interfacing panels and easy to make. It is a great travel bag, diaper bag, or a bag for transporting your quilts to show and tell. |
This class consists of 2 sessions of 3hours each held on Wednesday, March 2 and March 9th from 1 - 4.p.m. Cost is$36 plus fabric supplies and required pattern ($14.95) |

In this class you will be making a reversible shopping bag that is approximately 15 inches tall and 18 inches wide. Techniques taught in this class include: fusing interfacing, making pockets, channel quilting on the straps, and making a box corner. With these techniques you can easily make the bag in any size with only a few adjustments. This will be a fun day of sewing while you create a bag that can be used for shopping, a purse, or many other uses. |

Partial Seams Confident Beginner |

You will create a lap quilt designed to teach you the art of using partial seam techniques to make quilt designs that appear to be in-set. This class allows you to practice techniques for easily making these complicated looking designs. Making it scrappy and it is a great way to use up 2 1/2" strips of batiks or other fabrics in your stash. Sets of 48 different die cut 2 1/2" batik strips will be available. |

Half Square Triangle challenge Confident Beginner |

You will learn about 10 different techniques for creating half square triangles that can be applied to any pattern or block that uses half square triangles. Ladonna's sampler is a perfect example of all the types of blocks that you will be able to do. This class is a wealth of information and allows you to try many methods to determine which one works best for you and which method works best on a particular project. It is a great way to improve your quilt making skills. |

6-Pack Quilt Beginning Quilting | Ladonna Marshall |
This class is for sewers who want to make their first quilt. You will learn how to properly use a rotary cutter, and how to accurately sew a quarter inch seam. The project is a 48" x 72" nap quilt which alternates 4 patch construction and large squares. The primary focus of this class is the construction of the quilt top. Quilting on a home sewing machine will be discussed, but not completed in class. Students need to be familiar with using a sewing machine. |

Anything Goes table topper Confident Beginner |
Ladonna Marshall | This class will take you through the steps to create this great octagon shaped, quilted 26" table topper. It also contains some interesting techniques for sewing something that has unusual angles and technique for easily sewing and turning perfect points. The pattern is required for this class. |

Shaded 9-Patch | Ladonna Marshall |
The shaded 9 Patch is a fun block to make and can be used as a great stash buster.Use 10" squares of darks and lights for the blocks. Layer cakes may be used but select one that has many different prints and equal amounts of lights and darks. The block is very simple but the fun starts when the blocks are constructed and you can start to manipulate the blocks into numerous designs. Any Log Cabin pattern or Half Square Triangle pattern can be used with this Shaded 9 Patch block. You need equal amounts of lights and darks. 2 layer cake squares make 2 blocks that measure about 7 1/2" . |

"Panel" Discussion | Ladonna Mashall |
If you are wondering what to do with a panel, a large print, or a border print, we have the class for you. This is an ideas class and not a sewing class. Ideas, tips, resources and much more will be presented. There will be lots of sample quilts and many resources for you to check out. "Panel Discussion is a lecture class with many show and tell examples. Please bring with you a fully charged phone or a camera and a panel and any coordinating fabric that you may have. It will be used for brainstorming ideas. |

Our Location
The warehouse is located at 414 Olympia Drive, Bloomington, IL . To get to the warehouse, go east on Route 9 past the airport terminal building to Towanda-Barnes Road. Turn right and go to the next stoplight which is Oakland Avenue. Turn right and go about 2 and a half blocks. Oakland dead ends into the airport fire station. Turn left at the last street. This is Olympia Dr. The warehouse is about 2 1/2 blocks down on the left side of the street.
