**Astrofest 99 2nd Place Deep Sky Award**
The Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae in Sagittarius
f/6.7 Vixen 120mm Refractor, Kodak PPF 400 40 Minutes.
This was my second time out with the G-11 & Orion/Vixen 120mm, using a 2" Lumicon Easy Guider (OAG). There was no vignetting and the VX 120 gives relativley little distortion across the entire field. This photograph was awarded 2nd place in the Deep Sky category at Astrofest 99, sponsored by the Chicago Astronomical Society. The CAS provided a very nicely done certificate as shown below.
