| This picture was taken in 1968, and the sticker on the car door is from the Olympic training camp, held that summer in S. Lake Tahoe, where
several of us runners spent the summer, unofficially hanging out, while our college teammate prepared for the competition later that year.
This picture was in the 30 anniversary edition of John Muir's VW repair manual, along with the picture below----same guy, same car, all those years later.
