Scholastic updates official site
After its recent reopening, Scholastic has posted poll results and thoughts from the readers who had submitted their answer to the question, "Who will be the Half-Blood Prince?"

Update: HBP confirmed at 672 pages
After checking with our sources, we can now confirm that the 672 page count was given to both Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble by the US publisher Scholastic.
We've also been in contact with Bloomsbury, but they're unable to provide us with a number of pages for the UK edition at this time. It is typically less because they use a different font.

This letter was behind the door at www.jkrowling.com. It announces that HP&THBP is completed. Today, Dec. 21, 2004, Jo's publishers  Scholastic and Bloomsbury announced  that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released at midnight GMT in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa on Saturday, July 16th, 2005. Bloomsbury will be releasing both the hardback children's and adult versions (same text, different cover) of HBP like the previous books, both with a recommended retail price of £16.99, with the US version at $29.99. Bloomsbury has informed us that HBP will be "a bit shorter than Order of the Phoenix."
