Our 2008 Family Portrait!
Heather and Mark were invited to contribute a photograph to a calendar being made for our friend Craig, whose blog we read regularly. The photo was meant to capture our own blog personas, and so it was natural for us to include Godzilla in the image. We debated several ways in which he might appear, eventually opting for the "Lizard Eats Our Neighborhood" approach. But then the first dozen photos of the two of us running in fear, or pointing at the sky, etc... just looked (too) silly, so we finally opted for a normal looking pose, with the two of us apparently oblivious to the destruction that awaits.
Once we had that photo, the thought of trying to get all 4 family members well posed in a single shot gave us pause, so we wondered about either Photoshopping the boys into the Godzilla picture, or going with the simpler split-frame approach. Ironically, all 4 of us actually appear in the photo of the boys, looking okay all around.
