John talked to us kids and answered our questions. He said that he liked to talk to kids more than he like talking to adults because kids ask better questions! One of my friends asked John if he liked dinosaurs--he does! John was really nice and talked to all of us as if we were "normal" kids and not walking around with bald heads and attached to pumps and medicine bags with a bunch of tubes. My mommy, and the other adults, were very impressed by his attitude. My mom had no idea who John was before this day but now she recognizes his voice on the radio and she says he's a really great guy.

Mommy and I are in the center of this picture listening to John sing. I'm getting chemo during this time. The medicine tree on the right is mine. We're sitting in the play room at the clinic at Sloan-Kettering in New York.
