THORN CABINS ON DAM LAKE ON THE SUGAR CAMP CHAIN OF LAKES 


Enjoy a peaceful summer vacation among the tall pine trees on the shores of Dam Lake in northern Wisconsin.  The Sugar Camp Chain of lakes is located in Oneida County close to the Vilas Co. line, and consists of five lakes: Sand, Echo, Stone, Chain, and Dam Lakes.  This all amounts to good fishing, boating, and other water fun.

The main cabin provides sleeping  for seven people, and a bunk house is also available that  sleeps four more.  The cabin consists of 2 bedrooms furnished with all the linens, a living room with a television, vcr, and dvd, bathroom, also furnished  with linens, and a kitchen furnished all the necessities [except food].  Many fine restaurants are available just a few miles away, if you don’t feel like cooking.  There is also a screened in porch, plenty of lawn and a fire-pit and grill. The lakefront has a sandy bottom, a rowboat, a paddleboat, and two piers in case you bring your own boat.

Many activities brings thousands of tourists to the north-woods, so if you get tired of your quietude, you’ll find plenty activity in the area involving lots of people.  All of the communities are approximately ten miles apart, so we all enjoy a little scenic trip as we share each others festivities.

Fall:

North-woods Wisconsin Colorama  begins the end of summer and ends in October.
Cranberryfest is the first weekend in October
