This band is coming outta upstate NY, and I got in touch with them through
the split 7" they did with Ground Zero from CT. The music kinda reminds of
bands like Bulldoze and stuff, you know, the hard and tough nyhc. Check out
the lyrics and you'll know what I mean too. You gotta love a band like
this. These guys should get picked up by a label soon, cos their music is
just to good to be ignored or to not be released on a cd. I hope this
interview will help a little bit with that. It's done through e-mail with
Shawn.
1. Current Line-up and short band history?
Kenny F.-Vocals, Tony & Roger-Guitar, Shawn-Bass, Jay-drums. The band was
originally just kenny, Tony, jay, and greg then roger joined and they
kicked greg out and then i (shawn) joined. I have been ibn the band for a
litlle over a
year now.

on back ta basics.
3. Why did you choose the name eye 2 eye, any special reason for that?
No one really remembers… it was so long ago.
4. You did a split 7" with Ground Zero, how did you get on that 7"?
Rick (Healey) hooked us up with that!!
5. The split 7" is on BTB, are you happy with Rick's work on that, and will
you work with him again in the future?
Very happy with his work and we hope to work with him again in the future!
6. How's the scene in your area now?
In the past year a lot more kids have been coming to all the shows and and
almost every show around here has a good turn out.
7. Do you play a lot of shows (where, with who)?
We play a lot of shows in the upstate part of
NY, we played in Castle
heights in NYC. We play with such bands as
ALL OUT WAR, 25 TA TA LIFE, HATEBREED, BILLY CLUB
SANDWICH, EARTH RISIS,
CRISIS, CANDIRIA, SECTION 8, 99 CENTS, INNER DAM,

more!!!
8. What do you know about the belgian and
european scene?
The only thing i know about that is what i
see on the internet...
9. What do you do besides the band (inside and outside the scene)?
Jay is a iron worker in the city, Roger pierces at a tattoo studio he also
works at a printing press and made the covers for the 7". Tony is working
at a tattoo studio and a pretzel place in the mall, Kenny lives in the city
and hangs out on weekends and i dont work...scence wise i make flyers help
my girlfriend with the web page..I also going to be booking shows at a
local club called the eclispe in middletown NY. Pretty much we are all

there.

Roger is the one and ONLY sxe person in our band.
11. Any plans to release some more music soon?
We have a song coming out on the Call for Unity Comp 2 on BTB and trying to
put out a CD real soon.
12. Other future plans for the band?
We have a bunch of songs that have not been realesed yet and we have a
bunch of brand new songs! All of are new songs are heavier then anything
we have out (i think).
13. In Belgium there's some controversy about so-called violent dancing
(windmills, kickboxing in the pit,…), people speak out against it and shit.
What's your opinion on that form of dancing?
I heard dancing in europe is real violent. Around here we dance hard
(windmills and shit) but we look out for each other. But you are always
going to have a fight here and there.
14. Last comments and shout outs?
