THE GARDEN

Once upon a time in the garden, breathin’ in the days,

not needin’ any pardon.

Like a river runnin’ free, we had no reason not to think it would always be.

There’s truth on a mountain, don’t go if you don’t want to know.

There’s a light that’s inside you, don’t look and it won’t show.

And it all comes from a feelin’ of love.

Like the summer skies, we were so clear then, with wonder in our eyes,

nothin’ to fear then.

Like a mornin’ meant to rise,

there was no way to know what was revealed before our eyes.

There’s wisdom in the desert, don’t seek and you won’t find out.

You got the keys to your own front door, open up and step right out,

so we can know the reason of love.

As the day turned night, then the fear came smilin’ with delight,

and callin’ out his name.

As we watched the colors fade,

all we knew was it would never be the same.

Fear is what’s to blame,  it’s an intoxicating game.

It can bring you riches, and power, and fame.

There’s a song in a heartbeat, don’t listen and you won’t hear.

You can believe what you want to, so you have the freedom to live in fear,

so we can know the meanin’ of love.

There’s no wisdom in ignorance, only a fool would believe a lie.

Only the truth will save you. Now will you live or will you die?

All for the sake of love, for the only reason of love,

so we can know the meanin’ of love,

that came from a feelin’ of love.

FOOLS PARADISE

Welcome to fools paradise,  where they sell the Truth in a pack of lies,

and you can’t run away, and there’s no place to stay,

somehow you must live 'til you die.

Well you can have anything at all, if the price is right, and you take the fall.

You can satisfy your every need

if you don’t mind  makin’ little children bleed.

It’s a fools’ paradise with death in the skies, and fools have no eyes to see.

Do you see the ones in the fancy dress? Playin’ the illusion of happiness.

They don’t know, they won’t see, the actual state of reality.

It’s a fools’ paradise, where fools will despise all children's cries to be free.

Do you hear the sound of the marchin’ drums,

playin’ to the rhythm of loaded guns.

The storm is near, the winds are high, the Earth is shakin’

and you don’t know why.

It’s a fools’ paradise where the deeds of the wise are such a surprise to see.

Tomorrow is a brand new day, no fools left from yesterday.

Today we live on given time, sortin’ out the confusion

in the rhythm and rhyme.

It’s a fools’ paradise, where a fools own disguise,

reflects only the lies that he sees.

LOVE IS BURNING

I know the sky is blue, the trees are all alive,

and I know that love is true, but the fire took me by surprise.

I can feel the lttle child, there's a smile inside my heart,

like to be free and wild but we're bound right from the very start.

Can't you see that love is burning?

Into fire life is turning.

One way to be light forever, the other will be ashes and pain.

Wake up the sun is risin', you got to be realizin',

the time for your decision has come and gone.

And in the real live story, as Truth unfolds its' glory,

pay attention to its' call.

I did my dreamin' in the land of light,  simply knowin' everything's all right,

but I didn't look at what I didn't see,  till it stepped right up in front of me.

And though I still remember that Loves' full surrender,

would catch you when you fall.

Just to the left of here is a place without a time.

Just throw away your fear, and move to the rhythm and rhyme.

I'd live to take you there, but you all know the way.

No one could make the fare, you just get burned if you go on that way.

Can't you see that love is burning,

feel the wheels of fire turning?

One way to fly forever, no other could come back again.

Come on there's no more waitin',

been so long anticipatin',

there's no more time to talk about what's goin' on.

And in the final hour, if you find the power,

then you'll remember all.

I had to tell you that I'm doin' fine, that don't mean that I pretend I'm blind,

it's the fire that makes the light, and love that keeps it burnin' bright.

Mr. America

So how does it feel, Mr. America, when the satellite finds you home,
and it sees your heat even if you're all alone,
and you make just enough money to get by almost every day,
and the man on the TV's  gonna sell you a better way?
While the politicians lie with a smile on their face,

not representing the human race,
and you try to swallow but it won't go down, won't go down.

So how do you feel about justice when you're a pawn in a rich mans' game,
and you're tired in the morning but you punch in just the same,
and you try to tell your children,  but they don't understand,
so you give 'em hugs and kisses, and pretend you got the upper hand?
So many people lyin' all the time, you oughta call a cop,

'cause there's a crime!
And you can't convict 'em with the evidence, even with the evidence.

So how do you feel about religion, do you believe what you can't see?
What has God done for you lately? Has the truth yet set you free?
Did you purchase your absolution in this reality?
Did you buy your ticket in heavens lottery?
Did you read about life in a guilded book?

What's goin' on, did you take a look?
And you try to swallow, but it won't go down, won't go down.

So how do you feel about a nation that made it's way with war,
with armed fear and anger  waitin' behind each door,
that's tortured many peoples  who did not want our wondrous ways,
and turned the amount of suffering into years instead of days?
This ain't no herald of the Golden Age,

the hopeful prophet done turned the page,
and you try to swallow, but it won't go down, won't go down.

Survival is my Day Job

Survival is my day job, ain't makin' minimum wage.
State don't care 'bout my welfare, just as soon put me in a cage.
I'd smoke my share of
herb,so much better than beer.
But I can't fight the government, or even ease one mans' fear.

There's a tempest in the making, a self destruct in almost everyone's brain.
No trouble for me now, it's already driven me insane.
I'm on the other side of crazy, headin' nowhere, 'cause I got nowhere to go.

Red sky in the morning, no rain before the day is done.
In the clear and present danger, don't it make you want to turn and run?
"Who will save us?" I hear you cryin' in the lonesome night.
Love is the answer. Will we ever get it right?
Survival is my day job.
I'm on the other side of crazy, headin' nowhere 'cause I got nowhere to go.
Survival is my day job. Survival is my day job.
Survival is my day job. Survival is my day job.

MILLENNIUM

Stocks were risin' today, Willies done it again, and we still got time,

but time won't last.
I read the news before, it's like an open book.

Everybody knows but it goes so fast.
Must be a promise for tomorrow, 'cause we ain't got time today,
and if you weren't born a rich man baby, your'e gonna work it all away.
Yeah the sun still shines, though it burns your skin,
and the rain still falls, but it falls all wrong.
Things still look the same, though the appearance fades,
and the radio plays the same old song, on and on.
While the preacher's preachin' words that were heard

a thousand years ago,
and the teacher's teachin' knowlege that no one needs to know.
And for those now alive, every 3 out of 5,

may not come to survive the millennium.
There's a goin' concern, it's a prophecy, we got no time to waste,

just time to act.
You got to sacrifice, you got to stand up tall. You got to face the truth and that's a fact.
When the mighty men of power meet the mightiest King of all,
that old Babylonian statue's gonna crack. then it will fall.
There's a fool on the hill, yeah he's livin' there still,
and we still got time, but time don't last
...time don't last

PRIME TIME HAZE

If you went out today, looking for someone to play with in your mind,
you'd find there were plenty waitin' for you there,
all with the same thing in mind,
all with the same thing in mind.
Well they'd take you by the hand and say they understand you very well.
And you start to play the game, 'cause you might win this time,
just like two dead soldiers on their way to hell.
Two dead soldiers on their way to hell.
And you want to go to heaven, but you don't know the way.
Just like a T.V. set, you're fadin' away.
Fade into the prime time haze, Fade into the prime time haze.
If you went out tonight, looking for the best thing you could do,
you'd find a rare beauty in gentle people there,
who just ain't got the money to buy, they just ain't got the money to buy.
Well they'd smile right in your face,

and show you there's a place for you to care.
And they'd give you all they got and that ought to be enough,
it just might make you sit right down and cry.

It just might make you sit right down and cry.
And you want to be right,  and you want to be fair.
What can one man do in the world out there?

And you know that heroes very often die.
You got to make up your mind, which way you're gonna go.
Get a hold on life, his ain't no T.V. show,
it's a little child that's lost it's way, and you can feel it if you really try,
You can feel it if you really try,
You can feel it if you really try.

TOUCHED BY LOVE

Been Touched by Love, and it ain't what you'll be thinkin.'
Been touched by Love, and I know the way.
Time is goin' way too fast but hold on tight 'cause it cannot last.
Like a river flowin' to the sea, the time will come when we'll be free.
Touched by love, an' we got to get together,

touched by love, and you know the way.
Touched by love, and love is what you make it,and you know the way.
Ain't got time to break it down, 'cause the Holy Ghost soon be comin' around.
Day in, day out, this old crumblin' world makes you wanna shout.
You might fight, you might die, you might seek to find out why,
but time will show at least this much; You'll understand the Spirit touch.
Touched by love, an' we got to get together,

touched by love, and you know the way.
Touched by love, and love is what you make it, and you know the way.

NEW DAWN OF TEARS

C’mon everybody, let me tell you a tale, of that which was hidden,

and you know so well,

of children looking up to find they’ve grown old,

the fire in their hearts gone nearly cold.

In a dream on out on the edge of a wall, I saw a beast there waitin’ to eat it all.

Ruling the day, claiming the night,

I thought I heard a demon laughing with delight,

The times seemed to change with the hope we would bring,

the world joining in with the song we would sing.

But;

In golden temples made of mud, I saw dead dreams lyin’ in a pool of blood.

Life goin’ on it’s only known way, hopin’ to leave, tryin’ to stay.

so came a light prismed out from the sun, made us believe we could be the one.

But;

In a cardboard house painted like someplace

was an inside joke on the human race.

And you can see, I know that you can see.

You understand, we’re not all we can be.

Well, “Time waits for none!” I could hear them say,

but we’d make it last forever if we knew the way.

Dreamin’ of a day in the middle of night,

in ten thousand years couldn’t live one right,

and just inside the atmosphere, a flaming sword is waiting there.

Now some of the people are in disguise,

you better look for the truth that’s behind the lies.

Livin’ in a prison of fear and device,

you should’ve learned you couldn’t trust them twice.

They murdered my brother from Galilee,

but the bad news is that didn’t set us free.

And we could all die for just thinking this,

or be bound in the chains of ignoring bliss.

Go on ask your love who you’re talkin’ to,

better take it to the limit 'till you know it’s true.

If you got a dream, better hold on tight,

if you want to steal one you’re in for a fight

And you can love, I know that you can love.

Flying in the sun, we can be like the one dove.

So this was the story I had to tell, of all the angels born and living in hell.

Some of the darkness, and some of the light,

and every single one seems to shine so bright.

But;

If we can shake this plan of fears, tomorrow won’t bring a new dawn of tears.

And you can love, I know that you can love.

Flying in the sun, we can be like the one dove.

Now it’s in your hands, and you know you must stand.

Here I’m tellin’ you, you got to tell me you understand,

‘cause it’s the truth now, that I’m talkin’ about.

If you hear me, help me sing it out, while there’s still time,

while the sun still shines,

‘till we’re free.

Dead Religions

I know you are offended ‘cause I don’t want your religion,

But you just don’t want to know the reasons why.

And you are indignant that I don’t need your religion,

Though I spent many years making the try.

You are very angry that I don’t accept your judgment

‘cause I live in a land where I was born to be free.

Your heart is full of hatred ‘cause I won’t uphold your law.

What fool clings to blindness once he’s been allowed to see?

Your words curse and condemn me,

Your hands form bars and cages.

Your world is ever further from the truth

Then it has been for ages.

So don’t hand me no worn out mysteries,

Don’t give me your guilt and fear.

Don’t preach your dead religions.

Would you please get out of here?

I know you want the details to justify my decision

Though what point there is to that it is impossible to say.

You want documentation compiled with such precision

Though even all of historys’ record’s not enough to make you sway

Your eyes are full of pain as you put the pain on me,

I hear a musical echo askin’ “When will we be free?”

And there you still stand pushin’ fear and glory,

Though everyone knows that’s not the way it’s supposed to be.

You can go on acting like you never read the story,

But it won’t do you no good when it comes time to leave.

Your Love

If this changing world has you captured in embrace,

and you're so unidentified. you gotta hide behind your face,

well there's illusion in a moment, there's truth inside a jar,

there's a reason to be livin';

Your love, stand up and shout about it.

Your love, that's what it's all about,

your love, just can't do without it,

your love.

Now don't forget what the wise men say, just one thing matters anyway....

we really need it now

Well it seems like yesterday, there were flowers in the street,

a kingdom of children with no shoes upon their feet,

now there's a record in the rock, there's a message in our hearts,

from the one who comes to claim

Your love, stand up and shout about it,

your love, that's what it's all about,

your love, just can't do without it,

your love.

That long long war with darkness is all over now,

but those guns held in the shadows gotta find the light somehow.

You gotta stand up to their hearts bein' strong and right,

you gotta face those empty fears, and fill 'em up with light,

and do it all with your love, stand up and shout about it,

your love, that's what it's all about,

your love, just can't do without it,

your love.

Your love, that's what it's all about.

AFTER ALL

I wonder why nothing ever changes,

Everybody should have got the news by now.

Armed with all the wisdom of the ages,

We still can’t change a sword into a plow.

And after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale,

And you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday.

My arrival was the same as everyone.

I was born with nothing in my hand.

Yet today I was just sittin’ in the sun,

And I felt the fire that’s burnin’ all the land.

Some may say it’s just imagination,

In a few more years they’ll say the sky was never blue.

And the rich ones still claim there’s no relation

To the things they’ve done, and the things they’re gonna do.

And after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale,

And you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday

If a flaming mountain fell into the ocean,

And no one looked, how would anyone see?

And how could anyone have such a notion,

If it were not possible for such a thing to be?

Some may say, “It could never happen.”

They used to say their little world was flat.

If there’s a reason nothing ever changes,

They are a fine, fine, example of that.

And after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale,

And you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday

And after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale,

And you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday

and more to come!!
