Apart from performing my composition "The Open Doorway" at the Sibley Library Musicale, two short works of mine were played near the end of the year. In December, my arrangement of the carol "The Holly and the Ivy," for violin and organ, was performed at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Wellsville, New York.
And
a month before that, a descant I composed for the hymn "For all the
Saints" by Ralph Vaughan Williams was performed at Asbury First United
Methodist Church in Rochester, by my boss, Jim Farrington, on trumpet!
