; There is a bit of conflict on the year of birth for George A. Miller. On his death certificate it states the year as 1847, however when he filled out the application for Confederate pension he listed his birth year as 1848. He also provided the year of birth as 1848 on the 1900 census. As the death certificate information was provided by family members, but the pension application and 1900 census data were provided by George himself 1848 must be the correct year of birth.
