Mollie Strickland Fowler, 96, of 4361 State Park Road, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in Hendersonville,
N.C. She was the widow of Carl Wesley Fowler, to whom she was married for 73 years.

Born in Spartanburg County,she was the daughter of the late Roddy and Josephine Lynch Strickland. Mrs. Fowler retired from
Brandon Mills and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and the Guiding Light Sunday School Class.

She is survived by a sister, Jean Campbell, of Greenville; four grandchildren, James Roddy Buckner, Ann Hester and Kenny
Ballew, all of Greenville, and Charles Ray Buckner of Nashville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Tina Davis of Franklin,
N.C., and Melissa Buckner of Bethel, Maine; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Martha Fowler Hester.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Clearview Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Woodlawn
Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

The family will be at the home of Kenny Ballew, 4369 State Park Road, Greenville.

The Howze Mortuary, Funeral Directors, Travelers Rest, is in charge of arrangements.
