Geneva R. Talley

CANTON ? Margaret Geneva ?Gen? Rogers Talley, 84 of 5 Locust St., passed away
Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. She was a
native of Buncombe County but had resided in Haywood County for most of her life.

She was a daughter of the late Gus and Bertha Bonham Rogers and the wife of
the late William Herschel Talley who died in 2003. She was also preceded in
death by several aunts and uncles.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a very special mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda McMahan and her husband, Edward Dale,
of Maggie Valley and Erma Jean Murray of Bethel; one son, Larry Dean Rogers of
Canton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral
Home, with the Rev. James Parham officiating. Burial will follow in Morning Star
United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
At other times, the family will be at the residence, 5 Locust St., Canton.
Pallbearers will be Bo Wyatt, Boyd Leon, Jr., Steve Murray, Alan Murray, Brad
Nelson and Cole Israel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to John F.
Keever Solace Center, P.O. Box 5779, Asheville, N.C. 28813.
