Elias Taff
The body of Elias Alexander Taff, better known as “Bud” Taff, is to be returned to this city at
7:50 o’clock Friday night from Atlanta, where his death occurred at midnight Wednesday following
several years of declining health and will be taken to the Mackey mortuary, where his funeral
services will be held at a time to be announced later.
Mr. Taff was was born and reared in Greenville County, a son of the late William Thomas and Sara
(Gridley) Taff, and was a brick mason all of his life until four years ago when he retired from
active work because of failing health. He was in his 90th year, and lived with his daughter, Mrs.
J.E. McKinney, in Atlanta for the past four years.
His wife, the late Mrs. Emma Campbell Taff, died in this city many years ago.
Mr. Taff is survived by one son, Fred Taff, and by two daughters, Mrs. McKinney and Mrs. Marie Marques.
He is also survived by one brother, Ed Taff, and by one sister, Mrs. Beulah Taff King.
The family of Mr. Taff will be at the home of Fred Taf at 144 North Franklin road, Sans Souci,
pending the hour of the service.
