Mrs. Abbie T. Lanford

Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie Taff Lanford , former resident of this city, who died
in at Atlanta hospital at 8 o’clock Tuesday morning, will be held this afternoon at
5:30 o’clock at the graveside in Graceland cemetery. The services will be conducted
by Rev. Paul F. Beacham and the interment will be made in the family plot in the cemetery.
The following were asked to meet at the Mackey mortuary at 5 o’clock  to serve as
pallbearers : Luke Lanford, Grady Steadman, Wyman McDaniel, Marion Anchors, William Allen
and Harold Glaze.
Mrs. Lanford had lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years, having gone there from Greenville.
She was a daughter of the late E.A. Taff and the late Emma Campbell Taff and was born
and reared in Anderson county, near Pelzer.
Her husband, C.C. Lanford, survives her with one son, Jack Lanford, and three daughters,
Mrs. Louise Anchors, Miss Sarah Lanford and Miss Martha Emma Lanford.
She is also survived by her father, E.A. Taff; one brother, Fred A. Taff, and two sisters,
Mrs. J.E. McKinney and Mrs. Marie Marqus. One grandchild also survives.
Until the hour of the service the body will remain at the Mackey mortuary.
