Alas, I, James Beach, DM of this old IRC game, have read the last 38 chapters with amusement, for it's been quite some time since I ran this game. The details may have escaped me as to why the game ended so abruptly, though IRC campaigns are harder to keep going with many strangers coming and going with such frequency. Likely, the game just died out after chapter 38. Sorry, but there is no more of it. And, sadly, even some story ideas that were clearly in mind when I ran this game - GOD - 16 years ago already - have faded from memory. I'm curious what was going on or where they would lead, but I have no one to ask now, and no notes with which I may refer. Though, for what it's worth, I suspect Gill would have sold Ekibar to the Pedas royal line, not being a dwarf himself, nor wising to rule the Mostoli. Likely he'd get a more generic, though slightly more powerful sword out of it. But I dunno. And then, of course, more scenarios, more quests, different party members striving to improve their own lot, and always, at least in theory, working together toward some more meaningful goal on a never ending journey. But all games end.
Anyway, it was fun while it lasted. Thank you, if you have stuck with this written trail for the last 38 chapters. It was but one of many such campaigns I have run over the years on the planet of Orlantia, and it was an honor to have done so. I hope you enjoyed reading the brief trip as much as I enjoyed writing a condensed version of the actual game play, and, of course, DMing it.
Farewell.
