Died 1841-10-06 in Lillhärdal (Died of pneumonia). He was a member of Parliament in 1817-1818 and most likely 1823 and also 1828-30. Sought the position of medical officer to the county council in Härjedalen in 1823. His application was turned down but Erik was later given the position because he had served the community so well.See Hb. 1980 sid. 9 In 1823 he put forth the motion that Härjedalingarna tullfritt would import cheaply Norwegian salt from Röros. He said that his people should be exceptioned from paying taxes because it was for medical use. He also thought that Storskiftet not was good for mountain areas like Härjedalens. Erik married Gertrud Rolfsdotter, daughter of Rolf Hansson and Magnil Persdotter, on 4 Dec 1803 in Lillhärdal, Jamtland, Sweden. (Gertrud Rolfsdotter was born on 24 Feb 1781 in Äggen, Kyrkbyn, Lillhärdal and died on 10 Feb 1864 in Lillhärdal, Jamtland, Sweden.) |
