Computers That You Need, not computers that I need to sell.

As a computer consultant, I don't order a computer for a customer until I find out what computer will suit them. I don't hold a stock of computers nor of parts. If you need computer parts fast, I can usually get them in a few days, sometimes the next day. (Large orders may take longer.) The price of computers and computer parts usually start high and go down rapidly. Sometimes the drop in prices of computer components can be as much as 50% over a weekend. When you buy from me you will get the lower price, today's price, not the higher price that it was a few weeks before you bought the computer or computer component, unlike the large stores that buy to fill a warehouse and then take weeks to sell their stock.

My main job is to make existing computers work properly. I only sell computers when that is the most cost effective solution. When I sell a computer it is delivered set up, ready to use, not delivered in a box for you to set up. That way I have a chance to solve any problem before you get it.

Buying a computer is not the same as buying a television, VCR, or microwave oven. Even if you have bought a computer a few years ago, a new one is quite different. That's the price of progress. The operating system of a PC usually changes considerably from one version to the next. New types of hardware are developed rapidly. You can avoid problems by buying a computer from someone who deals with setting up, repairing, and optimizing computers, someone who has to deal with the problems that are often built into computers that are sold by mail order or by large stores that send you to a separate service department  or even to a separate company when trouble develops.

I began selling computers when I realized that I couldn't, in good conscience, send my customers back to the same kind of vendor that drove them to me for help in the first place.
