More About Linux

There are still programs that have not been ported to Linux. Windows still has programs that will only work on Windows. I would not recommend that you do away with Windows in favor of Linux, but a desktop PC can definitely be set up with only Linux as its operating system and be useful. I have one PC set up with only Linux and find it is fully useful, but I can't do without Windows, even if only 20% of the time.

Four Games on Linux

If you can play four games at one time so can Linux.

If you look at the top of this image you can see that I also have Netscape, a terminal window, and the dialup utility running in the background. That doesn't crash the AMD 486, 120MHz, with 32 Mb RAM that this is running on. Almost forgot, add the snapshot applet. That's eight programs running at once on a 486. No problem because Linux is a real multitasking OS.
