View of farm and hills The day trip was the result of a suggestion by friends that some of the most beautiful scenery in the world is in Upstate New York, near Edmeston.  The views of the valley are lovely.

The air was becoming clear, after many humid days, but was still not quite clear enough to show the beauty of the hills.
When we left home, we drove past Chenango Lake and there, on the road, was a fox! Fox on Chenango Lake Road

White tail deer at a house in the woods Near New Berlin, there was a deer at the side yard of a house in the woods.

A farm had their goat tethered so it could "mow" the side hill. goat

Peacock at a farm This peacock was at another farm.  It was accompanied by six smaller birds - peahens?  juveniles?

The horses had paused for a chat. horses chatting

How many geese are there in this picture?  geese at a farm pond

And there were cows!

We'll have to make the drive again when the skies are clearer.
