Altar Guild in the Santuary

Pictured above is our faithful Altar Guild

Welcome to this unofficial home page. The purpose is to provide information for church members as well as for those who may be new to the area and looking for a church home until the church may develop

its own "Official" page some day.

Our average attendance had been growing, and in late 1999, it was approaching 300 each Sunday. As a result, we built a larger Sanctuary that was dedicated in September of 2000.

Visitors and new members often remark that they find Good Shepherd is a friendly place.

Hopefully you will find something of interest to you here. In any event, may the peace of the Lord be always with you.

Education For Ministry (EFM): meets each Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. from September through May

EFM is a four year course which runs for 33 weeks each year. It combines a study of The Old Testament, The New Testament, Church History and Theology. Each class period is divided into times for review of the academic lesson, theological reflection and worship. EFM is an extension course offered by The University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee

The course is co-mentored by Rev. Lance D. Robbins, Gwen Brennick and Larry Thirkildsen. It is an excellent way to establish a solid foundation for developing one's understanding of our Christian tradition, developing a deeper sense of one's spiritual nature or exploring God's call to ministry whether it be ordained or lay ministry.

For additional information, please contact the rector.
