The Phillies avenged their opening day loss by spanking the Charlotte team 9-4. The story of the day was pitching as Roger pitched the 1st four innings, holding Charlotte to 1 run, sriking out 5 and picking up the win. Austin earned the save with three strong innings, adding 5 K'S as well. Charlotte's pitching was also strong as the Phillies fanned 13 times. Leading the offense was Roger 2 of the 6 hits. Mike L., Austin, Nick and Mike D. chipped in with timely hits. The defense was solid and the game ended on a Charlotte baserunner being picked off at 2nd by Austin. The Phillies record now stands at 4-1.
