In a flat performance, the Cubs dropped an 8-5 decision to the team from Charlotte. Colby gave up 5 runs in 2 innings and was followed by Austin’s 4 inning stint.

The bats were quiet as the Cubs managed only 6 hits led by Aaron’s 2. Numerous scoring chances went by the wayside. The defensive highlight was a perfectly executed play at the plate on an outfield cutoff from Roger to Austin to Tyler.
