The Cubs fell to .500 with their 3rd straight loss, 11-5 to the Giants. Numerous scoring chances were wasted and 2 Cub baserunners were thrown out at the plate. The Cubs had 8 hits lead by Nick and Mike S with 2 each and Roger ripped a long triple. The Cubs had their weakest defensive game yet with several key errors and the failure to execute a rundown on a picked off Giant. Austin and Roger threw well enough to win but didn’t get the support needed.
