The Cubs followed their best game of the year with their worst. Despite the offense ripping 17 hits and scoring 17 runs, the Cubs fell to the Rockies. Cubs batters whiffed 9 times, including twice with the bases loaded in the 6th. Cubs pitchers walked 10 and hit 3 Rockies. Numerous baserunning mistakes and fielding errors contributed as a dropped pop up scored the winning run. Leading the hit parade were Aaron, Mike D. and Mike S. with 3 hits and Nick with 2.
