Mayslak's scored early
on a fluke goal which rolled up goalie's Ross Hedin's arm landing behind him
and then bouncing into the goal.
Jourdan Bennet then tied
the game for the Ice Bats on an assist from Duane "Killer" Koshiol.
After the half Mayslack's
apparently scored on a disputed goal. Brad Nielsen was ejected from the contest
for statements made to the referee.
Being short-handed and
a defensive mix-up led to the Bats being down 3 to 1. But after Mayslack's
scored again the referee after further review disallowed their second goal
and Mayslack's led again 3 to 1.
Most of the rest of the
game was taken up with penalties and confused play.
Relieved only by the
play of the season - Tom Quirk's rush up ice culminating in a unassisted goal.
