I. He was Arguing with God? (15:17-21)

II. He was Focusing on Temporal Gain? (15:9-19)

"But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep..."

  1. Substituting personal objectives for God’s will
  2. Substituting earthly rewards for eternal rewards

III. He was Listening to Men Rather Than God? (15:24)

"I have sinned... because I feared the people and obeyed their voice."
