THE VINE AND THE BRANCHES (Joh 15 1-11)

Notice 5 things:

  1. Why does Jesus say he is the true vine? v.1 (there are false vines)

    2. Mt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

    2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

  2. Look how he deals with the branches. V.2 (Abide)

    4. 1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

  4. We can Abide:

Joh 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
