These Bones Shall Live!
. Eze 37:1-14You may have strayed from God; sinned against God and experienced the chastisement of God, but God wants you to know that He still loves you.
This visual message that Ezekiel received spoke of the condition of the people as they were, but it also was a message with hope for what God was going to do.
I. The Revelation
A. PLACING OF THE PROPHET v. 1
1. God had put Ezekiel in this place.
a. He mentions the Hand of God was upon him.
b. The Spirit of the Lord carried him to this valley.
2. God had a plan for the people of Israel.
3. God has a plan for your life.
B. PASSING OF THE PROPHET V. 2

He was made "TO PASS BY THEM ALL AROUND."II. A Nation in Ruin
A. EXPRESSED AS DRY BONES.
1. Think about where they were.
The bulk of the nation had been carried off into captivity.
b. Those that were left behind were the uneducated and the poorest of people.
c. They had forsaken the living God.
B. EQUATED WITH DEATH.
1. Bones are a picture of death.
2. God was saying as far as I am concerned you have been dead a long time.
C. EQUIVALENT TOO DESTRUCTION.
1. These bones speak of destruction and devastation that comes when a nation and a people rebel and turn their back on God.
2. Application… I wonder if God would open our eyes up to the true
spiritual condition of this nation,
a. We are a nation of people who have known the blessing of God.
Yet today this nation has turned our back on the One who has blessed us.
Our educators are rewriting history to take away the godly heritage of America.
There are those who want to remove any symbol of Christianity from America.
b. Morality is dead…
* Teenagers deliver babies and then leave them to die in a dumpster or in garbage container.
* We want to kill our sick and aging but we want to protect the life of a men and women who have been convicted of premeditated murder.
* We have made homosexuality a normal and accepted behavior.
* We have accepted sex before marriage as ok…
* TV -- Hollywood openly attack and assault the moral values of the Bible.
c. Modesty is dead…
People have no problem flaunting the flesh today.
* Some People want somewhere to go to get their hour weakly dose of religion.
* The average church member can tell you the names of leading actors and actresses and their latest Hollywood picture.
3. Unless something happens soon this nation as we know it may not last another 20 years.
III. The Remedy
A. A MOVING OF GOD!
1. God asks Ezekiel a question v. 3 "CAN THESE BONES LIVE?"
Now remember they are dead, dry, decaying bones. Ezekiel’s response God you know…
2. There will be no life for these dead and dry bones unless God decides to move.
IV. The Reviving
A. A MIRACLE FROM GOD!
1. Only God can make dead bones live. Notice what God can do vv. 5-6
2. God can make the world out of nothing
If He can take 5 loaves and 2 fish and multiply it to feed 5 thousand
B. A MESSAGE FROM GOD!
1. God told Ezekiel what he should do and what he should say.
God Said to PREACH to them!
2. You need to pray for ME and every other God called preacher who is preaching the truth,
3. There is hope for the Nation, there is Hope for the church, and there is Hope for the World…
It is found as God’s men speak God’s message and God gives a life-changing miracle.
Conclusion: there may be some today that are dry and dead bones.
