We wanted to do a little more decorating than we did but we had to choose the same color carpet for the whole house and we found out that hardwood flooring is VERY expensive. So we just got the standard in grey and we will replace it in the near future. The wood flooring in the kitchen acutally matches the cabinets. We also found out that building codes have changed so that there must now be a concrete base under linoleum. That means it will be easy to put down tile in the bathrooms at a later date because all of the prep work will already be done.

Click on each photo to see a larger version. The model is actually the reverse of what our house will be, so these photos of the model have been flipped to match what our house will look like.

This is what the outside of the house will look like when it is finished. Although the color of the shutters and door will be different. They will be a slate gray.

This is the Living Room viewed from part way up the stairs.

This is the kitchen of the model. Look at all that counter space! Plus a small desk for all those household papers!

This is the family room. On the right at the top you can see the edge of the railing at the top of the stairs. In ours, the floor is extended over the family room to make the loft.

This is the breakfast nook. It has a sliding door to the outside that you don't have to be Superman to open. We are all very happy about that.

Here is the Master Bedroom. It's smaller than the one we have now, but it's big enough for all of our furniture (which is no small task).

Here is the Master Bath. There is a big walk-in closet off to the left.

This is the laundry room. It's upstairs. Hooray!

This is the garage of the model. Unfortunately, the house is too far along to get the garage door in the back.
