Thank you City Newspaper for your endorsement ! December 14, 2005 City Newspaper:choice events
City's Choice: Dance Leis and bare feet don't often spring to mind during the holiday rush (those visions usually take hold around mid-January), but Gallery Kauai, Western New York's only hula studio, plans to celebrate the season with an evening honoring the culture of our newest state. Developed by the Polynesians, hula is dance combined with instruments and chants to express emotions and tell stories (not surprisingly, American missionaries hit the islands in the early 19th century and denounced hula as a heathen ritual). The holiday recital features hula by Gallery Kauai founder Victoria Kaiulani Visiko and her students, as well as slack key guitar by Wayne Kimo Knox."

Dear Victoria:
Thank you so much for coming to teach and entertain our
children last week. They enjoyed if very much. We held a luau
on Friday, and it was a very successful event. They incorporated
much of what they learned from you.

Dear Victoria,
It was so nice meeting you and your husband and some of
your students. It was a wonderful experience for all of us and
we'll never forget it! Thank you again. I hope someday my daughter
will be able to learn Hawaiian dance. I can see it is something
that takes a long time to learn. I'm so glad everything went well
and it was such a pleasure.
