For my collage, I used photos that I scanned from my own personal collection (of which I have many ) , a couple I copied from clipart and one I downloaded from the web. The boy with the flowers is from the Seva Raskin collection . I really had fun with this assignment in that I got to use and play with many of the filters and image adjustments. Here are some of the imaging tools I used to enhance my photos:
I used the the lens flare filter on the merry-go-round to to make it appear as if the sun were shining on it. For all the pics, I cropped, inversed them and finally feathered them to give them a more cohesive and flowing look on the canvas. The boy on the rock, I had to lighten with the brighten/contrast filter. The yellow flowers I highlighted, and adjusted the balance to make them even more yellow. The picture with my two boys in the tub, I used the smart blur, and increased the threshold to give it a clearer image. My reasons for choosing these pics was easy. I wanted a variety of images depicting fun places, and family type settings. I love the background of the sky and big "pillowy" clouds. Gives you a sense of serenity and peacefulness.
