Hold Rites Today at Montrose for Carolyn Lawhorn

Montrose -- Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Roy (Carolyn June) Lawhorn, 22, of Montrose, in the Montrose Methodist Church. Burial was in the Mullen Cemetery near Montrose.

She died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Burton of Woodbury. She had been staying with the Burtons after returning home from Mattoon Memorial hospital. She had been ill for some time.

Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Yingst of Mason. Other survivors are her husband, Roy: daughters, Ella Louise, Susan Lorraine, Tammy Kay and Twilla Tian, all at home; brothers, Floyd Yingst of Montrose, John Yingst of Teutopolis, Lewis Yingst of Freeburg and Robert Yingst of Bement; sisters, Mrs. Florence Coble of Louisville, Kentucky, Mrs. Elsie Robinson of Flora, Mrs. Doloris Lilley of Teutopolis, Judy Yingst of Mason, Mrs. Ethel Simmons of Bement, Mrs. Gladys Cox, Mrs. Elaine Frost, Mrs. Roberta Horath, all of Edgewood, and Mrs. Rosemary Higgs, Mrs. Connie Tipsword and Mrs. Mabel Fancher, all of Mason.
