The River’s Bend: Overview

Spend a relaxing vacation in our modern, fully-equipped lake home. With 900 ft of shoreline and 8.5 acres of woods, you can be as private as you like. Pike Lake is the wide part of the Pike River which flows into Lake Vermillion over the dam. Very secluded – no pontoon and jetski traffic. Great for fishing, canoeing, and swimming off the private dock. Canoe, kayak and inner tubes available for use. You can also tie up a small outboard at our dock (use public water access – see detailed map),

Sleeps 6-8 with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths: Queen bed downstairs, 2 twin beds and a sleep loft upstairs, a futon in the upstairs common room, and a master suite with king bed, soak tub and half bath. Upstairs bedrooms have balconies. Downstairs has a wrap-around deck. Plenty of deck furniture and a charcoal grill is provided.

Other amenities include Sauna, Fireplace, Laundry room, Satellite TV with HBO, and wireless internet throughout. Modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and electric range. All beds are made up fresh for you, but we do ask that you bring your own towels. There are plenty of games, books, and a screened porch with a swing for those cozy rainy days. The south side has a small garden (in process!)

You are close to Lake Vermillion if you want bigger water. Rent a boat from the local marina for the day and use our knee board and towline. Or take in dinner and gaming at Fortune Bay Casino (10 minutes away). Golf is available at the Casino and at Giant’s Ridge. The Taconite Trail goes through our property if you are into hiking.

Winter is a great season, too. We are right on the snowmobile trail. Cross country ski out on the lake or use the groomed trails in Tower, Giant’s Ridge, or Big Aspen. Good ice fishing just steps from the dock. Downhill skiing is 30 minutes away at Giant’s Ridge Ski area.

We prefer to rent to families. This is a unique and well-loved second home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
