Artists and artisans from New Richmond and surrounding communities displayed their works and demonstrated the techniques to make useful and decorative items in the Pavillion at the Heritage Center. Here are three photos of new exhibits at this year's Heritage Days.

Leslie Plourde of New Richmond demonstrated the craft of making baskets. In addition to participating in Heritage Days, Leslie offers basketry classes. Baskets today are often considered decorative items only, but 100 years ago, baskets were essential items in the home. |
Patricia Hanson, also from New Richmond, demonstrated the art of painting on porcelain. She paints custom ornaments, china tea pots, and even baby shoes which would have been common decorative items when New Richmond was still a new city. |
